On 10/31/18, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island contacted Jessica Hoffman, age 31 of Craig in reference to a deer she shot on 10/30/18. Investigation revealed that Hoffman had shot a deer without a valid Alaska hunting license, or Harvest Tags. Hoffman was issued minor offense Alaska Uniform Citations for Hunting without a license and no harvest tickets in possession.

On November 2, 2018 at about 8:00PM, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales Island, contacted a vehicle outside of Whale Pass. The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of 67 year old John Hill for Driving Under the Influence. Hill was transported to the Craig Jail where he was remanded and held on a $1000.00 bail.

On 11/02/2018 at about 2232 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a fight between two inmates at Ketchikan Correctional Center. Investigation revealed that a 40 year old, male from Prince of Wales Island assaulted another inmate causing fractures to his jaw. Case is still under investigation and charges are being forwarded to the District Attorney's Office.
