On 6-14-18, John Johnson, age 48, of Utah was issued a citation by Alaska Wildlife Troopers for failing to mark his sport Dungeness crab gear. Bail is set at $110 in the Prince of Wales District Court.

On 06/16/2018 at 1303 hours Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Wrangell contacted the Sport Fish Guide boat, Etolin from the Lodge at Whale Pass. Investigation determined David Riemenschneider, age 40 from Seward who was the guide on the Etolin did not possess all the required documents for a sport fishing guide. Further investigation determined the logbook was not completed from previous trip. Reimenscheider was issued a $210 citation in the District Court at Wrangell for Failing to have all required documents in his Possession while acting as a sport fish guide. Lucas Ryter, age 20 from Florida, who is also a guide from the Lodge at Whale Pass was issued 2 $210 citations in the District Court at POW for Failure to Complete Logbook as Required.

On June 22, 2018 at about 2:25PM, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island responded to Hydaburg to investigate a report of an individual violating a domestic violence protective order. Investigation revealed 31 year Hydaburg resident Gwen Peratrovich violated a domestic violence protective order, violated her conditions of release, and committed the crime of Unlawful Contact. Gwen was arrested and transported to Craig Police Department where she was remanded.
