A Trick of the Trade That You Will Absolutely Love! (Does this sound like ClickBait??)

Ok, maybe a little but it's not clickbait because i'm not selling anything

(Other than my good looks and charm but I digress...)

A few people have asked me recently, "Arthur! How do you keep up with all these websites? You must be following and clicking on websites all day?" In fact I am. I am following 12 websites related to POWReport and 16 websites for my own hobbies and entertainment.

Earlier this year I used to individually click on ALL these websites and read them all day and then grab the stories I wanted and upload them to Facebook, which is exhausting...

Until Now!

The "Trick" that I use that makes my life easy is that i follow the "RSS Feed" of my favorite websites. Yes, I had no idea what that was either:

RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it.

In layman's terms, you can follow every post that a website or blog makes without having to actually click on the website (other than PowReport, we want you to click on us!)

Ok, Ok, but how do you do that?!

This was my news feed this morning (111 unread articles for POWReport)

Feedly.com allows me to search and find websites that I want to "follow'" and add them to my feed. Once that happens, it breaks down the news articles into those small little columns and if there is a good news story I can click on it and it opens it up so I can read it. RSS Feeds are revolutionizing the internet news service. And panicking news stations because it's a loop-hole to skip Ads (reducing revenue ) but POWReport isn't panicking since we aren't looking for Ad money...at-least not right now.

So, what should I follow?

(Besides POWReport you mean?)

I have a soft spot in my heart for Alaska Fish Radio and SustainableSoutheast

But you really want to know what my "alt-blog" feed is don't you?

Yes, you do! You are nodding your head to this aren't you? Yes...alright i'll give you a peak:

Scott Adams is one of the most interesting people on the internet. Made famous by his Dilbert Cartoons, however, a little known fact is that he is a certified hypnotist and a Master in Persuasion. His blog follows his analysis of events through his "persuasion filter" and particularly, he is following the very interesting and very controversial Presidential Election.

Martin Armstrong besides sharing my name is a very very interesting character! I stumbled upon him accidentally two-years ago and was so fascinated with him that I read his entire blog archive...all of it just to see if he was the real deal or a scam. He's the real deal. Did you know that he is the only person in US history to fire his lawyer and defend himself without an attorney against the Federal Government? He lost and went to prison. When he was released he started a public blog talking about Economics and Politics related to his Prediction Models. His Models are incredibly accurate.

Share your blogs and favorite sites in the comments.

Until next time.

Cheers!
