Trooper Report Week of September 11, 2016

On 9-10-2016 at about 1956 hours, Alaska State Troopers were notified second hand of motor vehicle crash involving injuries between a motorcycle and deer near the village of Hydaburg. VPSO Jones and EMS responded and located the injured driver identified as 24 year old Hydaburg resident Noe Winrod. Winrod was transported to the Hydaburg clinic and later medivaced to Ketchikan for his injuries. Investigation revealed Winrod was operating a 2008 Honda 250cc motorcycle southbound on the Hydaburg Highway when he collided with a deer. Winrod sustained a compound fracture to the foot, multiple road rashes and was not wearing a helmet. Neither speed nor alcohol were factures in the crash.

On 9/16/2016 James Stukey, reported to Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales Island that his vehicle was stolen sometime between 9/7/2016 and 9/14/2016. The vehicle described as a 1999 white Chevrolet club cab and was left unattended at the Inter-Island Ferry terminal in Hollis. Anyone with information relating to the theft is encouraged to call POW Troopers at 826-2918.

This is NOT the truck but it looks like this truck (Just not as shiny)
