Craig Police Report Week of October 2, 2016



The following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by the
Craig Police Department:

10/02/2016
11:41 a.m. Responded to a local business for a report of a burglary alarm
11:52 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 1 mile Craig Klawock HWY; verbal warning given for no registration
1:05 p.m. Responded to the turnout on Beach Rd. for a report of suspicious activity
3:40 p.m. Responded to Lower Harborview for an animal complaint; the dog was secured
7:30 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop on Port Saint Nicholas Rd. at the 500 block of Shaan Seet; verbal warning
given for taillight being out
8:03 p.m. Responded to a residence on the 1600 block of Achten Ct. for a report of a disturbance; female was
gone on arrival

10/03/2016
11:31 a.m. Responded to a residence on the 400 block of Shaan Seet for a report of a disturbance
12:38 p.m. Received a report of a juvenile being harassed; responded to the high school for follow-up
7:26 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop on Hamilton Dr. at the Harbormaster; verbal warning given for taillight being out
10:42 p.m. Responded to a residence on the 500 block of Hamilton Dr. for a report of a disturbance
11:02 p.m. Responded to a residence on the 500 block of Hamilton Dr. for a report of a disturbance

10/04/2016
12:29 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 3.8 mile Craig Klawock HWY
12:48 a.m. A 28 year old male was arrested for Driving Under the Influence
11:22 a.m. Responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident at the beach on E. Hamilton Dr.; investigation started
3:06 p.m. Received a report of a motor vehicle accident at the high school
8:44 p.m. Responded to a residence on the 800 block of Main St. for a report of a disturbance

10/05/2016
11:56 a.m. A verbal warning for loud music was given to an individual at a residence on the 1900 block of
E. Hamilton Dr.
12:20 p.m. Responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on the 400 block of T&H St.; individual had left
6:03 p.m. Responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on the 100 block of Shaan Seet; courtesy
transport was provided to the female
8:01 p.m. Responded to a report of a disturbance on a boat in South Cove; courtesy transport was provided
to one female and two males.
10:24 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at the 400 block of W. Hamilton Dr.; verbal warning given for taillight being out
10:33 p.m. Completed a cab inspection at the Harbormaster
11:04 p.m. A dog was found in the roadway; it was returned to its owner

10/06/2016
2:20 a.m. Responded to a residence on the 400 block of T&H St. for a report of a domestic disturbance
2:34 a.m. A 41 year old male was arrested for Assault III Domestic Violence
8:01 a.m. Received a report of a lost fanny pack
7:01 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop of Craig Klawock HWY at Port Saint Nicholas Rd.; verbal warning given for
headlight out

10/07/2016
9:47 p.m. A 29 year old male was arrested on a Bench Warrant for Failure to Complete 40 hours of CWS or
Report to CJF to Serve 5 Days
11:21 p.m. Courtesy transport was provided to one male
11:50 p.m. A suspicious vehicle was contacted at the old helicopter pad on Beach Rd.

10/08/2016
12:23 a.m. Located an unsecured door at a local business; door was secured
12:52 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop on East St.; verbal warning given for manner of driving
12:58 a.m. Responded to a report of a fight at a local business; investigation started
2:00 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop on Craig Klawock HWY at E. Hamilton Dr.; verbal warning given for brake light out
3:12 a.m. Investigated a disabled vehicle at 3 mile Craig Klawock HWY
3:34 a.m. A 40 year old male was arrested for Driving Under the Influence
8:31 a.m. Received a report of a vehicle parked on the fog line at 3 mile Craig Klawock HWY; the vehicle was removed
10:49 a.m. Responded to an animal complaint on Craig Klawock HWY at the high school; two dogs were returned to
their owner
11:49 a.m. Found a wallet outside of the Craig Inn; property was returned to its owner
9:42 p.m. Responded to a local business for a report of a burglary alarm


During the week of October 2, 2016 to October 8, 2016

7 disturbance; 1 domestic dispute; 0 Domestic Violence Order Served; 0 fire call; 1 found property; 1 harassments; 0 juvenile arrest; 0 juvenile complaints; 1 lost property; 0 medical call; 2 motor vehicle accidents; 1 noise complaints; 0 protective custody; 0 subpoena served; 0 summons served; 2 suspicious circumstances; 0 theft; 3 traffic complaints; 1 unsecured premise,
7 verbal warnings and 0 welfare check were given
