Craig Police Report Week of May 14, 2017



The following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by the Craig Police Department:

5/14/17
12:03 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at Totem Park, a verbal warning was given for a break light out.
12:39 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at Moose Lodge parking, a verbal warning was given for no mud flaps.
12:41 a.m. Received a report of underage drinking, officers responded and investigation started.
3:06 a.m. Conducted a traffic stops at PSN and SSTC, citations were issued for no insurance and Driving While License Revoked.
6:13 a.m. Received a report of a brown Pitbull loose near Ruth Anne’s Hotel, an officer responded and contacted the owners, the dog was picked up by owner.
9:10 a.m. EMS responded to a call PSN.
12:02 p.m. EMS responded to a call PSN.
2:30 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at PSN and SSTC, a citation was issued for basic speed.
5:46 p.m. A citation was issued Beach Rd for Animal at Large 1ts offence.
6:46 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop near the Bay Co., a verbal warning was given for speed.
6:50 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at Harbor parking, a citation was given for no insurance.

5/15/17
12:00 a.m. Received a report of a disturbance Shaan Seet TC of an intoxicated female that refused to leave, officers responded and the woman was removed and place in protective custody.
12:42 a.m. A 31 yr old woman was placed in Protective Custody.
12:53 a.m. EMS Responded to a call 2nd street.
1:35 a.m. A chocolate lab was found near the Craig PD without any collar of tags and was placed in the pound for the night, the owner was contacted the next morning and the dog was picked up later that day.
11:49 a.m. Received a report from a woman West Hamilton, her vehicle was taken without permission. Investigation started, vehicle located and returned to owner. Citation issued.
11:55 a.m. Received a report of a vehicle, with possible intoxicated driver. Officers investigated.
8:11 p.m. Received a report of a disturbance Shaan Seet TC, an officer responded and advised it was just some kids playing with music playing loud, they said they would try to keep it down.
9:31 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and the High School, a verbal warning was given for a broken headlight.
11:24 p.m. Received a report from a woman in the Upper Harborview TC that someone dumped a small black puppy on her porch, an officer responded and picked up the dog, it is too young and small to be at the pound and went home with the officer until the owners could be found.

5/16/17
9:22 a.m. Received a report of a Disturbance on T&H street, a woman stated there was yelling coming from the top of the hill, Police responded and investigated.
11:40 a.m. Received a report of 2 females drinking and driving.
3:39 p.m. Received a report of a dog chasing other dogs and kids Shaan Seet TC, the reporting party stated the dog had been caught and was now inside but was tired of it running loose, an officer was advised and will issue a citation.
5:03 p.m. An officer issued a citation for Animal Running at Large 1st offence SSTC.
5:37 p.m. A Citation was issued 2nd street for Animal Running At Large 2nd offence.
8:27 p.m. Received a report of a vehicle speeding Shaan Seet TC, an officer spoke with the reporting party and an investigation was started for Reckless Driving/ Reckless Endangerment.
8:34 p.m. Received a report of a male and female yellingShaan Seet TC, an officer responded and advised it was verbal only, they were arguing about cigarettes.

5/17/17
9:49 a.m. Received a report of vehicle dropped off on city property. Investigation started.
10:55 a.m. Received a report of a 2 year old little boy walking on Spruce street with no one around, an officer responded and the Day Care reported one of the children has run off, the child matched the description from the Day Care and was returned and the parent was notified.
11:09 a.m. A small brown dg was brought into Craig Police Department and was reported to have been in and out of traffic, the dog had no tags or any ID, the vet was contacted and the owner was identified and the dog was returned.
12:20 p.m. A Brown lab was running loose at Wells Fargo, an officer responded and the dog was taken to the pound, the owner was notified and will pick up the dog later.
2:04 p.m. Received a report from a man and his friend stating had been bitten by a dog in the Upper Harborview TC and had spent an hour at ARMC for the dog bite, Police responded and spoke with the owner and advised them that the dog will have to stay at home for 10 days.
2:08 p.m. A 24 year old male was arrested on charges of Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangerment.
5:22 p.m. A citation was issued on 2nd street for Animal Running At Large 2nd offence.
6:28 p.m. Received a report of a vehicle speeding PSN near the barge landing, officers were advised.
8:56 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at PSN near Burn Pit, a verbal warning was given for a tail light out.
9:07 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at Port Bagial and the Middle School, a verbal warning was given for a break light out.

5/18/17
11:20 a.m. Received a report that a vehicle kicked out of gear and ran into two other vehicles at the Harbormaster parking, no drivers were involved. An officer responded and took information.
12:19 p.m. Assisted an elderly person, whom was locked out of his current living location.
4:10 p.m. A Domestic Violence Protection Order was served on 2nd street.
4:34 p.m. A 25 year old male was arrested on charges of Assault in the fourth degree and Interfering with the report.
6:30 p.m. A Subpoena was served Shaan Seet TC.
6:36 p.m. A Subpoena was served JS street.
6:42 p.m. A Subpoena was served T&H street.
7:06 p.m. 2 Subpoena’s were served on the 2nd street.

5/19/17
11:29 a.m. Received a request for an officer to assist a man in getting his belongings from Tanner Crab CT, an officer contacted the home owner and time was set for
2:40 p.m. Received a report of a bag of Marijuana found by kids playing in the woods on school property, an officer responded and Marijuana seized.
5:22 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop 2nd street, a verbal warning was given for speed.
6:19 p.m. Received a report of a vehicle speeding on PSN and slid sideways and almost hit a dumpster, and officer responded to the residence of the vehicle and a citation was issued for Driving in Violation of Instructional Permit.
8:39 p.m. Received a report of a 4-wheeler at Craig Sandy Beach on PSN, an officer responded and stated the parking area is tore up with ATV tracks and oil on the ground. Investigation Started.
9:01 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at the High School parking, a verbal warning was given for a head light out.

5/20/17
4:27 a.m. Disturbance in front of CPD, intoxicated persons having disagreement.
7:54 a.m. Received a report involving child custody matters. Officer contacted person(s) and matter resolved.
5:15 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at PSN and Shaan Seet TC, a verbal warning was given for speeding.
6:09 p.m. A Subpoena was served 2nd street.
6:12 p.m. A Subpoena was served 2nd street.
6:24 p.m. A Subpoena was served 2nd street.
9:56 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop SSTC, a verbal warning was given for loud exhaust.
10:48 p.m. Received a report of a Domestic Disturbance T&H street, of a woman yelling and screaming a 2 males for not having wood for a fire, officers responded and advised the woman if they got called back to the residence for her she would be charged with Disorderly Conduct.

During the week of May 14, 2017 to May 20, 2017 the following complaints were reported and
investigated by the Craig Police Department:

0 abandoned vehicles; 2 adult arrest; 8 agency assists; 11 animal reports; 0 assault; 0 bear complaints; 0 burglaries, 0 business assists; 9 citizen assists, 8 citations were issued; 0 criminal mischief; 0 criminal trespass, 0 disorderly conduct; 4 disturbances; 1 domestic dispute; 1 Domestic Violence Orders Served,0 fire call, 0 found property, 0 harassments, 0 juvenile arrest 2 juvenile complaints; 0 lost property; 3 medical call; 1 motor vehicle accidents; 0 noise complaints; 1 protective custodies; 7 subpoena served,0 summons served; 7 suspicious circumstances; 0 theft; 5 traffic complaints; 0 unsecured premise, 10 verbal warnings and 0 welfare checks were given
