The following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by the
Craig Police Department:
5/21/17
12:00 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at c/K Hwy and Easy street, a verbal warning was given for speed.
2:21 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop on PSN and 700 block of shaan Seet TC, a citation was issued for no proof of insurance.
4:29 a.m. Received a report of a boat on fire, North Cove Harbor. Police, Fire & EMS responded and Klawock assisted. Incident under investigation.
5:27 a.m. Received a report of an alarm going off at a local business, officer responded and matter resolved.
6:57 a.m. Received a request for a welfare check of a man, SSTC. Officer found person and all was well.
12:59 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at CTA parking, a verbal warning was given for speed.
1:05 p.m. EMS responded to a call in the Upper Harborview TC.
9:18 p.m. Received a report of a woman causing a disturbance at a residence in the upper Harborview TC, an officer responded and the issue was resolved.
9:36 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy near Wells Fargo, a verbal warning was given for a headlight and break light out.
9:56 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 2.5 mile C/K Hwy, a verbal warning was given for a headlight and break light out.
5/22/17
11:30 a.m. A 25 year old male was put into Protective Custody.
12:06 p.m. Received a report of a vehicle swerving, C/K hwy. Officer located vehicle, no issue with intoxication. Verbal warning for out turn signal.
12:36 p.m. Received an animal complaint, ball park area. Officer advised and matter resolved.
1:25 p.m. EMS responded to a call in the upper Harborview TC.
8:08 p.m. Received a report of a vehicle driving recklessly on Cold Storage Rd. Officer advised, investigation started.
8:44 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Peace Health, a verbal warning was given for a headlight out.
10:59 p.m. A 67 year old male was arrested on charges of Assault in the Fourth Degree Domestic Violence.
5/23/17
12:55 p.m. Received a report of vehicle speeding, C/K Hwy. Officer’s advised.
1:13 p.m. A Subpoena was served at ARMC.
2:20 p.m. A Subpoena was served, 2nd Street.
8:36 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop, SSTC & citation was issued for speed.
11:33 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 3.5 mile C/K Hwy, a citation was issued for No Valid Operator License.
5/24/17
9:00 a.m. A 35 year old male was arrested on a warrant for charges of Petition To Revoke Probation.
11:01 A 57 year old male was arrested on charges of Petition To Revoke Probation.
2:23 p.m. A man found a pair of reading glasses with blue frames on Hamilton Drive.
4:50 p.m. Received a vehicle speeding through SSTC. Officers advised.
7:37 p.m. received a report from SSTC of a missing tan and white Corgi with tags, an officer was advised.
5/25/17
11:10 a.m. Received a report of a black dog running loose at North Cove, an officer located the dog and contacted owners via tag.
6:23 p.m. Received a report of a disturbance Tanner Crab Court, officer responded, investigation started.
7:43 p.m. Received a report a disturbance, Spruce Street, Officer responded, contacted adult male and warned about loud noise.
9:32 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at PSN and SSTC, a verbal warning was given for a tail light out.
5/26/17
2:14 a.m. A34 year old female was arrested on charges of Assault in the Fourth Degree Domestic Violence, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal trespass in the First Degree.
3:51 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 5 mile C/K Hwy, a verbal warning was given for speed.
Trespassing him from the business and all of it’s local sub branches.
4:21 p.m. Received a report of a vehicle traveling slow on C/K Hwy.
4:32 p.m. An officer responded to SSTC for a Welfare check of a man, all was well.
6:15 p.m. Received a report from a woman in SSTC having issues with neighbor. Officer responded, matter resolved.
8:19 p.m. A 42 year old male was arrested on charges of violating Conditions Of Release.
8:54 p.m. Received a report of a Domestic Disturbance of a man and woman fighting in SSTC, officers responded and EMS was called to the scene.
5/27/17
12:34 a.m. A 23 year old female was arrested on charges of Assault in the Fourth Degree Domestic Violence.
1:20 p.m. Received a report of a vehicle passing school bus with flashing lights. Vehicle located, driver warned for offense.
1:54 p.m. Received a report from a woman in SSTC of a adult male harassing her. Officer responded, contacted person, warning issued.
8:49 p.m. Received a report of a vehicle speeding C/K Hwy. Officers advised.
9:23 p.m. Received a report of 2 males on scooters at West Wind Plaza. Officer responded, contacted and males warned to stay out of traffic lanes.
9:31 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at PSN and Sandy Beach parking, a verbal warning was given for a headlight out.
10:14 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Peace Health, a verbal warning was given for speed.
During the week of May 21, 2017 to May 27, 2017 the following complaints were reported and investigated by the Craig Police Department:
0 abandoned vehicles; 6 adult arrest; 10 agency assists; 2 animal reports; 0 assault; 0 bear complaints; 0 burglaries, 3 business assists;8 citizen assists, 3 citations were issued; 2 criminal mischief; 0 criminal trespass, 0 disorderly conduct; 3 disturbances; 1 domestic dispute; 0 Domestic Violence Orders Served,2 fire call, 2 found property, 0 harassments, 0 juvenile arrest 0 juvenile complaints; 0 lost property; 4 medical call; 1 motor vehicle accidents; 0 noise complaints; 1 protective custodies; 2 subpoena served,0 summons served; 5 suspicious circumstances; 0 theft; 8 traffic complaints; 0 unsecured premise, 9 verbal warnings and 2 welfare checks were given
