Craig Police Report Week of May 7, 2017



During the week of May 7, 2017 to May 13, 2017

The following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by the Craig Police Department:

5/7/17
12:24 a.m. Received a report of a juvenile out pass curfew, officer located and juvenile turned over to parent.
4:00 p.m. Received a request for an officer at the Upper Harborview TC to assist in removing a woman from a residence, the officer responded and a cab was called for the woman.
6:40 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at PSN and Shaan Seet, a verbal warning was given for speed.
6:48 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Dump rd, a verbal warning was given for speed.
8:22 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at PSN and Shaan Seet TC, a verbal warning was given for driving with only parking lights on.
8:28 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and High School, a verbal warning was given for a broken tail light.
9:59 p.m. A 45 yr old female was arrested on charges of Custodial Interference in the second degree.
9:59 p.m. Received a report from a woman in Shaan Seet TC who stated something shattered her window, officer responded and the issue was resolved. The officer spoke with the individual and advised they have been trespassed from the residence indefinitely.

5/8/17
2:31 p.m. Received reports of possible theft, False Island and officers responded. Investigation started and person was issued a citation for expired tags on his vehicle.
3:21 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Sunnahae trail head, a verbal warning was given for speeding.

5/9/17
11:16 a.m. Received a report of a vehiclefull of kids that was driving reckless on Hamilton and Port Saint Nick Road. Investigation started.

5/10/17
2:42 a.m. Received a report from the alarm company of a possible burglary at a local business. Officer(s) responded and found a broken window. Investigation started.
6:18 a.m. Received a report of a brown Pitbull charging a man, Front Street. Officer responded, located dog and dog was returned to owner.
12:27 p.m. Received a report of a fight going on outside of a local business, officer responded, contacted person’s involved and investigation ongoing.
2:10 p.m. Received a report of an alarm going off at a local business, officer responded, found system was having problems and they were able to fix it.

3:10 p.m. Received a report of a woman who was nearly hit by another woman driver, Thompson Road. Officer responded, contacted person involved and matter resolved.
5:39 p.m. Received a report from a man, Front Street, who said a male on a long board ran into the back of his truck, breaking a tail light. Officer responded and investigation started.
8:12 p.m. Received a report of a woman passed out near the Hill Bar, an officer responded and the woman’s mother was contacted and picked her up.

5/11/17
8:36 a.m. Received a report of an alarm going off at a local business, an officer responded and found alarm set off by error, no further action to be taken.
12:27 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy near Peace Health, a verbal warning was given for driving habits.
1:45 p.m. Received a report of vehicles speeding on Water Street.
2:35 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at the Harbor, a citation was issued for Driving While License Revoked or Suspended.
6:06 p.m. Received a report of a vehicle driving recklessly into Ward Cove area, an officer responded and 1 male juvenile was transported to guardian, and a 2nd male juvenile’s parent was contacted and came to pick him up.
9:15 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Dump road, a verbal warning was given for driving with parking lights and not headlights.
9:55 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Peace Health, a citation was issued for no proof of insurance.

5/12/17
4:50 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Peace Health, a verbal warning was given for speed.
6:24 p.m. Received a report of a vehicle with plastic on window that has been speeding around town.

5/13/17
12:08 p.m. Received a report of a small Motor Vehicle Accident involving 2 vehicles at the junction of East and West Hamilton dr. Officers were advised insurance information was exchanged, no injuries reported, both vehicles drove away.
1:15 p.m. EMS responded to a call In Shaan Seet TC.
8:18 p.m. Received a report of fireworks going off in Shaan Seet TC, Officers were asked to do extra patrols.
8:24 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Peace Health, a verbal warning was given for a headlight out.
8:43 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Shaan Seet TC, a verbal warning was given for studded tires.
9:08 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at Shaub Ellison, a verbal warning was given for a headlight out.
10:54 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and High School, a verbal warning was given for a break light out.


During the week of May 7, 2017 to May 13, 2017 the following complaints were reported and investigated by the Craig Police Department:

0 abandoned vehicles; 1 adult arrest; 16 agency assists; 1 animal reports; 0 assault; 0 bear complaints; 0 burglaries, 10 business assists; 12 citizen assists, 2 citations were issued; 3 criminal mischief; 0 criminal trespass, 0 disorderly conduct; 3 disturbances; 0 domestic dispute; 0 Domestic Violence Orders Served,0 fire call, 0 found property, 0 harassments, 0 juvenile arrest0 juvenile complaints; 0 lost property; 1 medical call; 1 motor vehicle accidents; 0 noise complaints; 0 protective custodies; 0 subpoena served,0 summons served; 5 suspicious circumstances; 0 theft; 5 traffic complaints; 0 unsecured premise, 12 verbal warnings and 0 welfare checks were given
