On 4/18/18 at approximately 0745 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island responded to a two vehicle collision near mile 11 of the Klawock Hollis Hwy. Investigation revealed that Alinari Campbell, age 35 of Thorne Bay, had been driving eastbound on the Klawock Hollis Hwy near mile 11 in his 2015 Mercedes Sprinter van. Campbell attempted to pass a 1997 Ford Van on the left while in a no-passing zone. The Ford van slowed to make a left turn onto a private drive at the same time. The two vehicles collided in the westbound lane. Damages to the both vehicles were estimated at $3,000.00. All parties reported wearing seat belts and did not sustain any injuries in the incident.

On April 16, 2018 at about 5:00PM, Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island responded to Hydaburg after receiving a report of an assault. Investigation revealed 52 year old Hydaburg resident Cherilyn Holter assaulted a male. On April 17, 2018, an arrest warrant was issued for Holter. AST arrested Holter in Hydaburg and transported her to Craig Police Department where she was remanded.

On 4/21/2018, Prince of Wales based Troopers conducted a residence check directed by Adult Probation. During that search and subsequent search with a search warrant, Troopers located over 45 grams of methamphetamine. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
