Editorial: A Clear Example of How Fake News is Created to Steer a Narrative

Over the weekend, I clicked through the news channels and the networks spent most of Friday and the entire day Saturday talking about whom was marrying whom while wearing what in Britain. From the wall-to-wall coverage it would seem that the viewer REALLY CARES ABOUT BRITISH ROYALTY! At least that's the assumption, right? The networks ONLY cover what the viewers care about!

Disgusted by this compulsive coverage I created a poll on Facebook to gauge the American interest in the royal wedding and unsurprisingly 90% of you didn't care at all! Now, obviously this isn't a scientific poll, however reading other news websites who posted about this subject, the vast majority of the comments also disapproved. Which brings me to the broader point.

The MSM Routinely Directs Certain Narratives to Take Coverage Away from Important Topics

We are living in the most amazing and important time period in our lives! Trump for the first time since the 1950's is negotiating a peace treaty with the Koreas. America is threatening military confrontation with Iran over their nuclear program. There is a world-wide immigration crisis. There is a world wide debt and pension crisis. And instead, what are we only hearing about? The wide ranging topics of Stormy Daniels and the Royal Wedding with a helping of DID YOU HEAR THAT TRUMP CALLED A VIOLENT GANG 'ANIMALS'??????

Do You Hear Yanny or Laural?

Last week there was a viral audio clip that was made by actor Jay Aubrey Jones, in which one word is repeated over and over. However, depending on the individual who is listening they either hear "Yanny" or "Laural."

America and the Mainstream Media have a "Yanny" and "Laural" crisis.

Generally speaking Americans want to hear what's really going in the news. Yes, trivial and fun articles about inconsequential things are nice once in awhile but inconsequential things non-stop isn't doing anyone a favor. Americans are hearing "debt crisis, wars in the middle east, jobs and economy, securing the border, etc..." The Mainstream Media by virtue of not being in touch with the average citizen are hearing "Muh Russia collusion, Trump has small hands, impeach, impeach, impeach..."

And anything that collides with the MSM narrative and makes their #1 Hated Enemy Look Good (Trump) or worse make themselves look bad they will segue into something trivial and random so that the plebs won't use any critical thinking.

Is There Anything Happening Right Now that Makes the MSM Narrative Look Bad Hence the Distraction?

Washington Examiner

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein asked the Justice Department's inspector general Sunday to review whether there was improper politically motivated surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016. [...]

In a statement, Rosenstein said: “If anyone did infiltrate or surveil participants in a presidential campaign for inappropriate purposes, we need to know about it and take appropriate action." The attorney general, Jeff Sessions, has recused himself from Russia-related matters.

Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores added, "The Department has asked the Inspector General to expand the ongoing review of the FISA application process to include determining whether there was any impropriety or political motivation in how the FBI conducted its counterintelligence investigation of persons suspected of involvement with the Russian agents who interfered in the 2016 presidential election."

"As always," Flores said, "the Inspector General will consult with the appropriate U.S. Attorney if there is any evidence of potential criminal conduct." [...]

In March, Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz said he would review the FBI's use of an opposition research dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele to get a 2016 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court order to surveil former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, though Horowitz referenced neither by name.

This isn't about whether you like or dislike Trump (there is a lot to dislike about him), this is about the danger of the FBI and the former administration spying on Trump and once the evidence comes out, this will single handedly be bigger than Watergate ever was.

Gateway Pundit
In a SHOCKING admission on Wednesday The New York Times reported the FBI opened an investigation dubbed “Crossfire Hurricane” into Trump’s campaign 100 days before the Presidential election.

The FBI was spying on the opposition party’s campaign 100 days before the election. The spying was based on a phony Russian dossier that was paid for by Democrats and Hillary Clinton and by the hearsay of a low-level Trump campaign official who was coached by FBI operatives on Russian rumors.

Five agents, including Peter Strzok traveled to London in the summer of 2016 to interview with a diplomat after Papadopoulos drunkenly claimed to Australian Ambassador Alexander Downer he knew who had Hillary’s emails.

And the FBI informant used thousands of dollars to entice Trump campaign official Papadopoulos to London to set up meetings.

Deep State opreatives released this information to The New York Times for Wednesday’s report.
The information was only leaked out after Congressional investigators discovered this last week.

This is likely the biggest political scandal in US history.

The News Isn't News Anymore, It's Political Brand Management

It's no secret that the media is owned by the political left, so generally the news is managed in a way to make the left look good and the right look bad. Generally speaking though, I remember that despite this obvious bias, straight news has always still been reported. In the current year there is nothing but yellow journalism and it's a sad day when things of real importance aren't covered. There really are a lot of weird things happening behind the scenes that nobody is reporting and once the pieces come together the American public is going to have a surprise of which has no precedence.

While this may seem like a conspiracy theory, if you take a step back and think critically we know one thing for a fact.

The News Doesn't Care About the Reader...

Update:

It was very early in the morning on this side of the Atlantic but 29.2 million Americans tuned in to watch live the wedding ceremony of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle yesterday.
