No Trooper Report, Here is the Ketchikan Police Report [Week of May 21]

On 5-29-18 at about 0421 hours, the Alaska State Troopers were notified by Cruise Line Agency of Alaska of a death aboard the cruise ship Emerald Princess while at sea. Investigation revealed that Wendy Tordi, age 57 of Saint Cloud Florida, passed away due to medical complications on 5-28-18 at 2146 hours. The Medical Examiners office was notified and the remains were released to the Ketchikan Mortuary. No foul play is suspected and next of kin were present.

On 05/31/2018 at about 2327 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a blue Suzuki vehicle for a moving violation at mile 9 of the North Tongass Highway. Investigation revealed that the driver Thomas Booth, age 42 of Metlakatla was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. Booth was arrested and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center for DUI.

On 6-2-18 at approximately 1113 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 400 block of D2 Loop Road. Investigation revealed that Thomas Wilson, age 36 of Ketchikan, placed another family member in fear of imminent injury while also damaging a family members property. Estimated cost of damage is $1000.00. Wilson was taken into custody and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Facility where he was charged with Assault IV (DV) and Criminal Mischief III (DV) and held without bail. Alcohol was a factor.
