Ketchikan Police Report Week of February 2, 2019


On 02/02/19 at approximately 1102 hours, Officers were dispatched to a hit and run in the 2500 block of Tongass Avenue. Officers were able to locate the striking vehicle in the 1800 block of 2ndAvenue. Officers contacted Curan Hummel-Clabby, age 32, who was an intoxicated driver. It was also found that Mr. Hummel-Clabby had a driver’s license that was revoked. Mr. Hummel-Clabbyfailed standardized field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. He was transported to the state jail where he was held on $500.00 bail.

On 02/05/19 at approximately 1145 hours, Officers responded to a report of a larceny from Safeway. Officers contacted Brandon Riley, age 29. After further investigation officers issued Mr. Riley a citation to appear in court for Theft in the Fourth Degree.

On 02/05/19 at approximately 1439 hours, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 200 block of Main Street. Officers contacted Kevin Callahan, age 55, who was an intoxicated driver. Mr. Callahan failed standardized field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. He was transported to the state jail where he was held on $500 bail.

On 02/05/19 at approximately 1542 hours, Officers contacted Toni Sandrson, age 39, in the 100 block of Steadman due to her having an outstanding warrant. Ms. Sanderson was arrested on warrant for the charge of Violation of Conditions of Release. The charge originated from a February 2019 incident. Ms. Sanderson was transported to the state jail where she was held on $500 bail.

On 02/05/19 at approximately 1708 hours, Officers contacted Anna Peratrovich, age 67, in the 2400 block of Tongass Avenue. Ms. Peratrovich was served a summons for the charge of Theft in the Fourth Degree. The charge originated from a December 2018 incident.

On 02/09/19 at approximately 1430 hours, Jordan B. Williams, age 29, walked into the police department to turn himself him for two outstanding bench warrants. The warrants were from 2013 cases for Failure to Appear and Petition to Revoke Probation. Mr. Williams was arrested and transported to the state jail. He was held on $600.00 bail.

On 02/09/19 at approximately 1748 hours, Officers responded to the corner of Tongass Avenue and Carlanna Lake Road due to a report of an intoxicated male stumbling into traffic. Officers contacted Jose Alvarado, age 44. Officers observed Mr. Alvarado to have a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his persons, slurred speech, bloodshot watery eyes, and very unsteady balance. Mr. Alvarado has current court ordered conditions of release which stated he is not to consume or possess alcohol. He also became combative attempting to fight officers. He was arrested for Violation of Conditions of Release and Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Alvarado was transported to the state jail where he was held on $250.00 bail.

On 02/10/19 at approximately 1240 hours, Officers responded to a residence on Baranof Avenue and arrested Craig Leask, age 38, on two outstanding warrants for Violation of Conditions of Release. Lena Ryan, age 21, was also contacted at the same time and residence.Ms. Ryan was arrested on a warrant for Theft in the 4th degree. Both were transported to the state jail. Mr. Leask was held on $50.00 bail for each warrant. Ms. Ryan was held on $50.00 bail.

On 02/11/19 at approximately 1205 hours, Officers received a report that Elizabeth Jackson, age 18, was trespassing at a business in the 2400 block of Tongass Avenue. Officers learned Ms. Jackson had a permanent trespass from that business and property. Ms. Jackson arrested for Criminal Trespass. She was transported to the state jail and set to be released on her own recognizance.

On 02/12/19 at approximately 1141 hours, Officers contacted Monika Havens, age 21, in the 300 block of Main Street. Ms. Havens was served a summons to appear in court for Theft in the Fourth Degree. The charge is from an incident that occurred in January 2019.

On 02/14/19 at approximately 0900 hours, Murphy Charles, age 37, was contacted in the 200 block of Stedman Street because he had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to post bail.Mr. Charles was arrested and transported to the state jail where he was held on $250.00 bail.

On 02/15/19 at approximately 1140 hours, Christian Mathers, age 20, was contacted by Officersin the 300 block of Main Street and he was served with two summonses ordering him to appear in court for arraignment on multiple theft charges.

On 2/16/19 at approximately 2314 hours, Officers responded to the 3600 block of Tongass Avenue for a report of an assault. Officers contacted Jeremy Bethel, age 37, and based on their investigation he was arrested for Assault in the Fourth Degree- Domestic Violence. He was transported to the state jail where he was held on no bail.

On 02/18/19 at approximately 0105 hours, Officers contacted Howard Falkner, age 37, in the 700 block of Water Street. He was served a summons charging him with Assault in the Fourth Degree – Domestic Violence. The charge is from a December 2018 incident.

On 2/18/19 at approximately 1349 hours, Officers contacted Nichole Wireman, age 37, in the 800 block of Park Avenue due to a report of her striking buildings with a 2X4 piece of wood.Upon contact her behavior became erratic and she was warned about Disorderly Conduct. She continued yelling and was arrested. As she was being escorted to a patrol vehicle, she turned towards one officer and spat in his face. A records check also showed Ms. Wireman to be on conditions of release. She was transported to the state jail and booked on the charges ofDisorderly Conduct, Harassment in the First Degree, and Violating Conditions of Release. She was held on $250.00 bail.
