Investigation revealed that a black, Mi-T-M, 175,000BTU shop heater was stolen from an open and unsecure building located near mile 7 of the North Tongass Highway. The estimated value is $400.00. On February 11, 2019 at about 2:45PM, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island located 54 year old Richard Carle at a residence in Hydaburg. Carle was arrested on an outstanding warrant and transported to the Craig Jail where he was remanded without bail.

On 2/6/19, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Prince of Wales Post contacted the FV SudarKing as it was conducting a commercial offload of Geoducks. Crewmember Jason M Moore (40 y/o) of Ketchikan was issued a citation for not having a current ADF&G commercial crewmember license. The owner and permit holder on the vessel, Sergiy Chepurko (28 y/o) of Washington State was issued a citation for employing an unlicensed crewmember. Both have an optional appearance in the Prince of Wales District Court with bail set at $270 each.

On 2/14/2019 at 1512 hours, Prince of Wales State Troopers were dispatched to Thorne Bay for an unresponsive adult male. Despite life saving attempts by EMS, 55 year old Frederick Lacour of Thorne Bay was pronounced deceased at 1637 hours. No foul play was suspected and after the SME was consulted, the remains were released to the family who were on scene.

On 2/15/2019 at 1233 hours, Prince of Wales State Troopers contacted 22 year old Drakkar Smith of Klawock near an apartment building in Craig. Smith had an outstanding warrant for Violating Conditions of Release. Smith was arrested on the warrant and remanded to the Criag Jail pending $500 bail.

On 02/14/2019 at about 1907 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a gray Ford Explorer near the intersection of 3rd Ave. and Jefferson Street. The vehicle was stopped for failing to stop at a stop sign. Investigation revealed with the assistance of SEACAD and K-9 Misty that the driver Aaron Mccolley, age 27 of Ketchikan was in possession of Heroin and drug paraphernalia. Further investigation revealed that Mccolley was violating current conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse by not obeying state law. Mccolley was arrested and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $250.00. Mccolley was also issued a traffic citation for Failure to Show Proof of Insurance at the time of stop.

On 02/13/2019 at about 2100 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a red Suzuki parked in a closed area at mile 3 of the South Tongass Highway. Investigation revealed that a male passenger who was 20 years old, of Ketchikan was in possession of Marijuana and drug related paraphernalia and under the legal age of 21 years old to possess or consume Marijuana. Further investigation later revealed that the male was on conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse. Charges are being forwarded to the District Attorney's Office.
