Location: Ketchikan

Type: Warrant Arrest, MICS 5th Degree

On 03/02/2019 at about 2147 hours, the United States Forest Service LEO and the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving recklessly in the area of Ward Lake and Revilla road. Investigation revealed that two male, 17 year old juveniles were in possession of THC oil and paraphernalia. Further investigation revealed that a passenger Troy Harris, age 19 of Ketchikan had an outstanding AST arrest warrant out of Anchorage for failure to remand from the original charge of DUI. Harris was arrested and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with No Bail. Charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree are being forwarded to Juvenile Intake. Both juveniles were released to a guardian. The 17 year old juvenile driver also received a traffic citation for Driving in Violation of a Provisional License. AST would like to thank US Forest Service LEO for their assistance at the scene.

On 3-5-19 at approximately 1856 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Christine Callahan, age 34 of Ketchikan at a residence on York Town Dr. Investigation showed Callahan had a $100 warrant for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 4. Callahan was arrested and remanded to the Ketchikan Correctional Center.

On 3-5-19 at approximately 1939 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Michelle Volpi, age 35 of Ketchikan at a residence on Harris St. Investigation revealed Volpi had two warrants both for $1000. Volpi was arrested and remanded to the Ketchikan Correctional Center.

Type: False statement on sport fishing license

On 3-3-2019 the Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Eric White, 38, of Ketchikan for making a false statement on a 2018 resident, low income sport fishing license. This violation has a set fine of $320 and an optional court appearance in the First Judicial District Court in Ketchikan.

On 03/08/2019 at about 2304 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a black Honda Accord in the 3400 Block of Tongass Avenue. Investigation revealed that the driver Lia Widmyer, age 35 of Ketchikan attempted to lie to Troopers and reported being someone else who had a valid driver's license. Further Investigation revealed that Widmyer had no valid operator license and no required liability motor vehicle insurance on the vehicle she was operating. Widmyer was arrested for False Information and no motor vehicle liability insurance and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center.

On 03/07/2019 at about 1803 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a white Honda in the 2400 block of Tongass Avenue. The vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed that the driver Kevin Callahan, age 55 of Ketchikan was operating a motor vehicle while his license was Revoked. Further investigation revealed that Callahan was violating current conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse reference a DUI by operating a motor vehicle. Callahan was arrested and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center. Callahan was also issued traffic citations for DWLR, and Failure to Show Proof of Insurance.
