Sudden Engine Issues on the Lituya Has the IFA Cover the Metlakatla Run

The Inter-Island Ferry Authority will cover the M/V Lituya runs between Ketchikan and Metlakatla Thursday, Friday and Saturday May 9th, 10th and 11th, 2019, and will be docking at Annette Bay. We will depart KTN at 11:30am, and depart MTM at 1:00pm; run time is 45 minutes. The short run time means onboard ticketing time is limited. Please book your reservations in advance by phone or Online! All fares are One-Way, and people 18 years and older are required to show valid government issued photo identification. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, and for more information call toll free 866-308-4848 or go Online at www.interislandferry.com.

The M/V Lituya is currently having engine/generator work done on it. Rumor is that the work may take anywhere from a few days to a few months to fix. As of now the current plan is for Metlakatla residents to anticipate the return of the Lituya sometime next week. POW Report will post changes as more information is available.
