On 08-25-2019, Alaska State Troopers arrested 33 year old Vanessa Alexander (aka: Vanessa Snook) for an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Ketchikan District Court. Alexander was remanded to the Ketchikan Correction Center without incident, bail was set at $100.00.

On 8/22/19, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island contacted Jonathan Fitzpatrick age 47 of Coffman Cove, in reference to an escape mechanism violation on shrimp gear that he was fishing in the marine waters near Hamilton Island. Fitzpatrick was issued an Alaska Uniform Citation (AUC) for one count of Escape Mechanism Violation on personal use gear per 5AAC77.010(m).

On 8/24/19, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Prince of Wales contacted Curtis Looper (age 29) of Naukati. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was transported and remanded to the Craig Jail with bail set at $500.00 by the Prince of Wales District Court.

On 08/22/2019 Trident Seafood of Ketchikan, was cited for three counts of unlawful possession of fish. Trident Seafood’s was cited after State Troopers inspected three Trident Seafood’s tenders offloading seine caught salmon on 8/13/2019 in Ketchikan. Investigation revealed Trident Seafood’s had retained 40 king salmon and 1 steelhead that were not reported on any commercial fish tickets as required. Arrangement is scheduled in Ketchikan on 09/10/2019.

On 08/22/2019 Tim Estes of Fort Bragg California, was cited for unlawful possession of fish. Estes was cited after State Troopers conducted an inspection from his Tender the F/V JES AN, offloading seine caught salmon at Trident Seafood’s in Ketchikan on 8/13/2019. Investigation revealed the F/V JES AN was in possession of 14 king salmon that were not reported on any commercial fish tickets as required. Arrangement is scheduled in Ketchikan on 09/10/2019.

Camacho was cited after State Troopers conducted an inspection from his Tender the F/V Sea Star, offloading seine caught salmon at Trident Seafood’s in Ketchikan on 8/13/2019. Investigation revealed the F/V Sea Star was in possession of nine king salmon and one steelhead that were not reported on any commercial fish tickets as required. Arrangement is scheduled in Ketchikan on 09/10/2019.

On 08/26/2019 Royce Todd Ranniger, 50 of Ketchikan, was cited for unlawful possession of fish. Ranniger was cited after State Troopers conducted an inspection from his Tender the F/V Lynda, offloading seine caught salmon at Trident Seafood’s in Ketchikan on 8/13/2019. Investigation revealed the F/V Lynda was in possession of 17 king salmon that were not reported on any commercial fish tickets as required. Arrangement is scheduled in Ketchikan on 09/10/2019.

On 08/26/2019 Trident Seafood of Ketchikan, was cited for one count of unlawful possession of fish. Trident Seafood’s was cited after State Troopers inspected Trident Seafood’s tenders offloading seine caught salmon on 8/15/2019 in Ketchikan. Investigation revealed Trident Seafood’s had retained eight king salmon and two steelhead that were not reported on commercial fish tickets as required. Further investigation revealed two of the King salmon were over 28 inches in length. Arrangement is scheduled in Ketchikan on 09/10/2019.

On 08/29/2019 at about 2156 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a person being tased at a residence at mile 11 of the North Tongass Highway. Investigation revealed that Trina Hostetler, age 49 of Ketchikan got into an argument with a person and ultimately used a handheld stun gun causing pain and injury to another person. Further investigation revealed that Hostetler was on conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse and was violating current conditions of release by being arrested. Hostetler was transported and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $1250.00.

On 08/30/2019 at about 2254 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a female who refused to pay for her cab fare and fled on foot at Mile 6 of the North Tongass Highway. AST responded and contacted Kami Riley, age 44 of Ketchikan who was attempting to hide in the area. Riley was able to locate money and pay for her cab fare. Further Investigation revealed that Riley also was found to be violating several sets of conditions of release by consuming alcohol. Riley was arrested and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $2,250.00. Alcohol was a factor.
