Type: Fail To Affix Locking Tag

On 9/14/2019, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a summons to court to Nathan Carey, 43 of Athens Ohio, for failing to affix the locking tag to a deer as required for non-residents. Incident occurred near Salmon Bay Lake on Prince of Wales Island (POW) in Game Management Unit 2 (GMU 2) on 9/8/2019. Carey was given a mandatory court date in the District Court of Klawock.

On September 18, 2019 at approximately 0856 hrs, Alaska State Troopers (AST) were contacted via 911 and advised of a domestic disturbance which had occurred near Eagle Street in the community of Saxman. AST responded and subsequent investigation revealed 65-year-old Daniel Atkinson of Saxman had assaulted a family member by placing them in fear of imminent physical injury. Atkinson was taken into custody and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center. Atkinson was held without bail pending his arraignment for the misdemeanor offense of assault in the fourth degree, involving domestic violence.

On 09/10/2019 Mathew D Ungaro, 45 of Buckley Washington, was cited for one count of unlawful possession of fish. Ungaro was cited after State Troopers inspected Trident Seafood’s tenders offloading seine caught salmon on 8/15/2019 in Ketchikan. Investigation revealed Tender F/V Controller Bay was in possession of eight king salmon and two steelhead that were not reported on commercial fish tickets as required. Further investigation revealed two of the King salmon were over 28 inches in length. Arraignment is scheduled in Ketchikan on 10/08/2019.

On 08/28/2019 Trident Seafood of Ketchikan, was cited for one count of unlawful possession of fish. Trident Seafood’s was cited after State Troopers inspected a Trident Seafood’s tenders offloading seine caught salmon on 8/22/2019 in Ketchikan. The investigation revealed Trident Seafood’s was in possession of 8 king that were not reported on any commercial fish tickets as required. Arraignment is scheduled in Ketchikan on 12/10/2019.

On September 20, 2019 at approximately 1328 hrs, Alaska State Troopers (AST) were notified of a domestic disturbance that had occurred onboard the cruise ship Celebrity Eclipse. AST responded and subsequent investigation revealed 34-year-old Tiare Krewson of Hawaii had physically assaulted a family member while onboard the ship earlier that morning. Krewson was taken into custody for the misdemeanor offense of assault in the fourth degree, involving domestic violence. Krewson was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center, where she was held without bail pending arraignment.

On 9-20-19 at approximately the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a unresponsive male at a residence near 7 mile N. Tongass Hwy. The North Tongass Volunteer Fire Department responded and pronounced the male later identified as Peter Burr, age 61 of Ketchikan deceased. No foul play is suspected and next of kin have been notified. The investigation is still ongoing.

On September 21, 2019, at approximately 1600 hrs, Alaska State Troopers contacted 49-year-old Englebert Noble of Ketchikan at a residence near 4th Avenue. Noble was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional center, where he was held without bail on the misdemeanor offense of violating a domestic violence protective order.

Dispatch Text:

On 9/21/2019, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Ketchikan issued a citation to Tyler Pendergrass, 33 of Ketchikan, after he self-reported he had mistakenly harvested a doe on Gravina Island. Pendergrass was given a mandatory court date in the District Court in Ketchikan.
