On 12/15/2020 at about 2056 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted and arrested Cory Uttke, age 54 of Ketchikan at a residence in the 300 Block of Nickey Way. Uttke had an outstanding arrest warrant for VCOR reference the original charge of MICS 5th Degree. Uttke was transported and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $500.00

On 12/15/2020 at about 2128 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted and arrested Jeremiah Stack, age 33 of Ketchikan in the 600 Block of Park Avenue. Stack had an outstanding arrest warrant reference the charge of VCOR. Stack was transported and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $1,000. AST would like to thank Ketchikan Police Department for their assistance with the arrest.

On 12/15/2020, at approximately 1620 hours, Alaska State Troopers stopped a dirt bike that was being driving down Christopher Road in Ketchikan without headlights or taillights. The driver was identified as Michael Jessen (age 32 of Ketchikan). Jessen also had a nine-year old passenger. Jessen was arrested for DUI, Avoidance of an Ignition Interlock Device, Driving while Revoked, Endangering the Welfare of Child in the First Degree, and Violation of Conditions of Release. Jessen was also charged with Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. Jessen was remanded at the Ketchikan Correctional Center.

On December 15, 2020 Charlene Myers (49 Y/O) drove her vehicle to the Ketchikan Alaska State Trooper post to retrieve a firearm that was being returned to her. Upon her arrival at post Troopers detected an overpowering odor of alcohol emanating from her person. Charlene performed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and failed. Charlene was arrested for DUI and provided a breath sample. Charlene admitted to drinking the night before. Charlene was remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center.

On December 02, 2020, members of the Alaska State Troopers, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Ketchikan Police Department and USFS Law Enforcement served a search warrant at a residence in the Knudson Cove area (Ref. AK20092573)
During the search of the residence, officers contacted 36-year-old Cheri Henson of Ketchikan. Henson was observed attempting to dispose of related narcotics paraphernalia by discarding them from her home. In addition, Henson attempted to conceal the following items on her person: approximately 9.46 grams of suspected methamphetamine, $790.00 in US currency and a digital scale.
Subsequent investigation resulted in the additional seizure of approximately 3.74 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 1.15 grams of suspected heroin, numerous paraphernalia items associated with narcotics consumption, and numerous items associated with the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics.
Henson is charged with the class A felony offense of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second degree, the class B felony offense of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the third degree and the class C felony offense of tampering with physical evidence. She was issued a summons to appear before the Ketchikan court for the above offenses on December 28, 2020 at 1300 hrs.

On 12/17/2020, Prince of Wales State Troopers were notified of a death in Hydaubrg. Investigation revealed 80-year-old Frank Natkong Jr of Hydaburg died from natural causes. The SME was consulted, and released the remains to the family who were on scene.

On 12/18/2020 at approximately 0810, Prince of Wales State Troopers and the Village Public Safety Officers responded to a residence in South Thorne Bay for a reported disturbance. Investigation revealed 41-year-old Daniel Porter of Klawock, who fled the scene prior to AST arrival, assaulted two roommates and caused significant damage to the residence. Porter's vehicle was located a short time later wrecked in a ditch outside of Thorne Bay. Porter was located inside a separate residence at approximately 0930 hours and arrested. Porter has been charged with two counts of Assault IV DV, Criminal Mischief III DV, DUI and VCOR after further investigation revealed Porter on conditions of release for Robbery II. Porter was remanded to the Craig Jail pending arraignment.
