SEARHC Urges Patient Registration as Additional COVID Vaccine Doses Arrive

SITKA, January 19, 2020 – The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) recently announced that the latest allotment of COVID-19 vaccine doses is available to local communities. SEARHC is administering vaccines to patients ages 65 and up, and persons defined as frontline essential workers by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) across the Consortium. Services areas with small populations are working through sequencing groups at an increased pace. Patients interested in receiving the vaccine are encouraged to register online now at covid19.searhc.org, regardless of the sequencing group being scheduled in your community.

SEARHC has made registering for the vaccination quick and easy. A valid email address is required to sign up. Registration can be completed in approximately three minutes using a laptop, tablet or smartphone. Once an individual has registered online, SEARHC will email the patient when the vaccine is available to them and provide a link to self-schedule an appointment for the vaccination. If all appointments are booked on the scheduling site, be assured that you will be re-notified by email when additional vaccines are available in your community.

“Getting vaccinated is an important step in protecting the health and well-being of your family and your community,” said Dr. Elliot Bruhl, SEARHC Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. “SEARHC urges all patients considering receiving a vaccine to sign up online at covid19.searhc.org as soon as possible. With a list of registered patients, our providers will work to administer vaccines as quickly as we receive them. SEARHC is grateful to the residents of Southeast for their continued patience as we work hard to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to all who want them.”

Individuals who have questions regarding the vaccines are advised to contact their local SEARHC clinic. For more information, visit covid19.searhc.org.
