Type: Assault IV on a Peace Officer, Resisting Officer, Violation of Stalking Order
Text: On 12-01-2015 at approximately 1030 hrs, the Kasaan Village Public Safety Officer (VPSO) contacted 49 year old Hal W. Priser of Kasaan and served him with a court issued stalking order, prohibiting him from visiting the Kasaan city office. At approximately 1120 hrs, Priser entered the Kasaan city building in violation of the court order. When the VPSO attempted to take Priser into custody for violating the order, Priser resisted arrest by attempting to leave the area and by physically resisting the VPSO's efforts to take him into custody. During the struggle, The VPSO sustained multiple lacerations to his neck as a result of Priser scratching him with his fingernails. In addition, Priser attempted to bite the VPSO's wrist and hand. s taken into custody. Priser was transported to the Craig Police Department Jail, where he was held without bail.
