Location: Klawock

Type: Fuel Theft

On 4/10/2017, Prince of Wales based Troopers received a report of fuel theft from a construction project on Salt Chuck Road in Klawock. Wayne Browning reported over 100 gallons of diesel fuel was siphoned from various heavy equipment sometime on 4/9/2017. Anyone with information about this theft is encouraged to call the Alaska State Troopers at 826-2918

On 4/10/2017, Prince of Wales based Troopers received a report of wood theft from a local logging company working near Coffman Cove. Papac Logging reported approximately $1500 worth of Yellow Cedar was stolen from an active logging claim sometime on 4/9/2017. Anyone with information about this theft, or who have purchased Yellow Cedar for firewood recently, is encouraged to call the Alaska State Troopers at 826-2918. Individuals may remain anonymous.


Location: Hydaburg

Type: Assault

On 4/12/2017, Prince of Wales State Troopers received a report of an assault which occurred in the village of Hydaburg. A 51 year old female from Klawock received multiple injuries which required her being medevaced to Anchorage for treatment. Suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
