Craig Police Report Week of April 30, 2017



The following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by the Craig Police Department:

4/30/17
3:14 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at PSN and Shaan Seet TC, a verbal warning was given for manner of driving.
4:23 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 4.1 mile C/K Hwy, a verbal warning was given for an out break light.
6:10 p.m. An officer found a yellow lab at North Cove, the owner was contacted and the dog returned.
9:09 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at PSN and Shaan Seet TC, a verbal warning was given for an out headlight.

5/1/17
7:45 p.m. Received a report of an adult male walking in middle of roadway on C/K Hwy. Officer responded and matter resolved.
8:56 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop JT Brown Industrial Blvd. warning was given for a broken break light.

5/2/17
2:31 a.m. EMS responded to a call on Easy street.
11:18 a.m. A 30 yr old male was put into a Protective Custody hold.
7:53 p.m. Received a report of a non-English speaking man passed out at the bar, an officer responded and a translator responded as well. Matter resolved. .
9:39 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 5 mile C/K Hwy, a citation was issued for basic speed.

5/3/17
8:31 a.m. Received a report from a male that he lost his wallet, if found please turn into Craig Police Department.
8:45 a.m. Received a report of possible stolen items, officer investigated, found items and returned to owner.
10:16 a.m. A 35 yr old male was arrested on charges of Petition To Revoke Probation.
11:06 a.m. EMS responded to a call on 2nd street.
5:55 p.m. Received a report from Ketchikan Hospital of a possible theft from one of their patients. Investigation started.
8:27 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 4.1 mile C/K Hwy, a citation was issued for no proof of insurance.
9:00 p.m. Received a report of vandalism, officer responded and took a report.
10:30 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at Port Bagail and School, a verbal warning was given for a break light out.

5/4/17
8:10 a.m. Received a report from Klawock police Chief of a stolen vehicle, a blue Subaru Forester, officers with CPD, AST, and Hydaburg VPSO were advised. Klawock Chief reported back at 1:24 p.m. that the vehicle had been found in Hydaburg and that the owners now have it.
5:31 p.m. Officers served a DVPO on Beach Rd.
6:16 p.m. EMS responded to a call on Oceanview drive.

5/5/17
12:08 a.m. Received a report of possible break in, Water Street, officer responded and matter was resolved.
3:24 a.m. Received a report of a disturbance at North Cove parking, an officer responded and the issue was resolved.
7:04 p.m. Received a report from Shaan Seet TC of a man throwing rocks, officer responded and matter was resolved. Alcohol involved.
9:26 p.m. Received a request for a welfare check, officer advised and determined that person was fine.
10:46 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Shaan Seet TC, a verbal warning was given for an out headlight and driving with permit only and no adult in the vehicle, the officer transported 4 juveniles to Tanner Crab CT.

5/6/17
12:08 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and PSN, a verbal warning was given for no headlights on.
9:27 a.m. Received a report of a vehicle in the ditch at the Main Entrance to Shaan Seet TC, and officer responded and advised the that the car was not a hazard to the traffic, caution tape was put around the vehicle and someone would be getting it out soon.
5:04 p.m. Received a report of a Disturbance at 400 block of Shaan Seet TC, officer responded and matter resolved.
11:45 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at W. Hamilton near Senior housing, a verbal warning was given for following too close.

During the week of April 30, 2017 to May 6, 2017 the following complaints were reported and
investigated by the Craig Police Department:

0 abandoned vehicles; 1 adult arrest;9 agency assists; 4 animal reports; 0 assault; 0 bear complaints; 0 burglaries, 1 business assists; 5 citizen assists, 2 citations were issued; 2 criminal mischief; 0 criminal trespass, 0 disorderly conduct; 3 disturbances; 2 domestic dispute; 1 Domestic Violence Orders Served,0 fire call, 0 found property, 0 harassments, 0 juvenile arrest 1 juvenile complaints; 1 lost property; 3 medical call; 1 motor vehicle accidents; 0 noise complaints; 1 protective custodies; 0 subpoena served,0 summons served; 4 suspicious circumstances; 0 theft; 0 traffic complaints; 0 unsecured premise, 8 verbal warnings and 1 welfare checks were given
