Craig Police Report Week of July 9, 2017



The following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by the Craig Police Department:

7/9/17
1:03 a.m. Received a report stolen vehicle location. Officer responded, determined not to be the stolen vehicle.
3:39 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on C/K Hwy near Peace Health, a verbal warning was given for a break light out.
10:17 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at the Craig Aquatic Center, a verbal warning was given for speed.

12:02 p.m. A woman came to the Police Department and picked up her wallet and cards that were found in Klawock earlier in the week.
12:20 A Summons was served 2nd street.

7/11/17
12:28 a.m. Received a report of possible wanted person. Officer investigated and determined person had no valid warrant(s).
1:24 a.m. Received a report that cabs were not running. Officer investigated and determined neither cab service available.
8:02 a.m. Received a report of attempted break in. Officer advised and investigation started.
6:21 p.m. Received a report of intoxicated person refusing to leave residence, Harborview TC. Officer responded and matter resolved.

7/12/17
5:28 a.m. EMS responded to W. Hamilton.
8:50 p.m. Received a report from a woman in Shaan Seet TC of young kids, running around with a gun. Officer advised, guns fake and no further action needed.
9:11 p.m. Received an animal complaint, Ballpark area and officer responded. Matter resolved.

7/13/17
11:05 Received a report of fuel spill on T&H Street. Officer responded, DEC advised, fuel cleaned up and no further action required.
9:48 p.m. Received a report of fireworks being lit off West Hamilton area. Officer responded, warning issued.
10:10 p.m. Received a request for a welfare check, Crab Bay area. Officer advised, contacted person and all is well.

7/14/17
9:24 a.m. Received a report, near First Bank, vehicle almost hitting him. Officer’s advised, investigation started.
12:04 p.m. A 19 year old male was arrested on an Arrest Warrant for Failure To Appear.
12:51 p.m. A 59 year old male was arrested on charges of Criminal Trespass in the First Degree.
7:12 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Peace Health, a verbal warning was given for a head light out.
7:52 p.m. Received a report of fireworks being lit off Shaan Seet TC, an officer responded and matter resolved.
10:20 p.m. Received a report, Beach Rd of an animal being loose. Officer responded, animal secured / returned to owner.

7/15/17
1:47 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and AC store, a verbal warning was given for a break light out.
9:37 p.m. An officer contacted people, Ballfield, open containers of alcohol. Warnings issued.
10:11 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and AML parking, a verbal warning was given for broken head light and brake light. Driver advised of license status
11:53 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Sunnahae Trail head, a verbal warning was given for a brake light.


During the week of July 9, 2017 to July 15, 2017 the following complaints were reported and
investigated by the Craig Police Department:

0 abandoned vehicles; 2 adult arrest; 10 agency assists; 3 animal reports; 0 assault; 0 bear complaints; 0 burglaries, 0 business assists; 7 citizen assists,0 citations were issued; 0 criminal mischief; 0 criminal trespass, 0 disorderly conduct;3 disturbances; 0 domestic dispute; 0 Domestic Violence Orders Served,0 fire call, 1 found property, 0 harassments, 0 juvenile arrest 1 juvenile complaints; 0 lost property; 1 medical call; 0 motor vehicle accidents; 0 noise complaints; 0 protective custodies; 0 subpoena served,1 summons served; 4 suspicious circumstances; 0 theft; 1 traffic complaints; 0 unsecured premise, 8 verbal warnings and 1 welfare checks were given
