Craig Police Report Week of October 8, 2017


The following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by the Craig Police Department:

10/8/17
1:06 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on C/K Hwy and Sunnahae Trail, a verbal warning was given for no tail lights.
2:20 a.m. Received a report of a disturbance at the bar, an officer responded, matter resolved.
3:13 a.m. Received a report of a disturbance near Voyager Books, an officer responded, matter resolved.
4:13 a.m. Received a report of a disturbance in SSTC, an officer responded, matter resolved.
2:18 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on C/K Hwy and Tanner Crab Ct, a verbal warning was given for speed.
6:21 p.m. Received a report of a bear cub near the Jehovah Church, an officer responded.
9:03 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on PSN, a verbal warning was given for failure to stop at sign.
10:23 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on 4 mile C/K Hwy, a verbal warning was given for speed.

10/9/17
7:49 a.m. A 18 year old male was arrested on charges of Assault in the Fourth Degree Domestic Violence.
2:11 p.m. Received a report of a vehicle almost hitting another vehicle near the Hydabug turn off, AST notified.
2:40 p.m. Received a report of a bear cub on Sunnahae Ct, no mother around, an officer responded.
7:48 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on C/K Hwy and the harbors, a verbal warnings was given for failure to stop at sign and driving in violation of provisional restrictions.
9:10 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on 2nd and Cedar street, a verbal warning was given for failure to use turn signal.
11:39 p.m. Received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at the Sunnahae trail head, an officer responded, matter resolved.

10/10/17
12:34 a.m. A 26 year old male was arrested on charges of DUI.
12:52 a.m. An officer provided transport for a male to SSTC.
4:38 a.m. Received a report of a disturbance at a hotel on Water st, an officer responded, matter resolved.
6:10 a.m. Received a report of a man unable to reach either cab co, dispatch contacted POW Cab.
8:10 a.m. Received a report of a disturbance on T&H st, an officer responded, matter resolved.

10/11/17
12:19 p.m. Received a report of a bear cub at the school, an officer responded.
1:21 p.m. Received a report of a bear cub up a tree on T&H street, an officer responded and assisted USFS, matter resolved.
4:35 p.m. Received a report of a juvenile walking on side of road at 5 mile C/K Hwy by them self, an officer responded, provided transport for juvenile and mother to SSTC.
7:19 p.m. Received a report of a bear cub on T&H street, an officer responded.
8:21 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and CTA building, a verbal warning was given for driving without headlights on.

10/12/17
12:59 a.m. An officer picked up 2 loose K-9’s on Spruce street, owner contacted, K-9’s taken to pound.
1:02 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on C/K Hwy near the school, a verbal warning was given for crossing the fog line.
1:17 p.m. EMS responded to a call at Peace Health.

10/13/17
1:51 p.m. received a report of an MVA with minor damage on Spruce street, an officer responded.
7:21 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on C/K Hwy near Peace Health, a verbal warning was given for a headlight out.

10/14/17
9:00 a.m. Received a report of a Domestic Disturbance on Cedar street, an officer responded, matter resolved.
9:31 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at AML parking, a citation was issued for basic speed.
9:38 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on C/K Hwy and Peace Health, a verbal warning was given for a headlight out.


During the week of October 8, 2017 to October 14, 2017 the following complaints were reported and investigated by the Craig Police Department:

0 abandoned vehicles; 2 adult arrest; 7 agency assists; 3 animal reports; 0 assault; 4 bear complaints; 0 burglaries, 1 business assists; 8 citizen assists, 1 citations were issued; 1 criminal complaint; 0 criminal mischief; 0 criminal trespass, 0 disorderly conduct; 5 disturbances; 1 domestic dispute; 0 Domestic Violence Orders Served,0 fire call, 0 found property, 0 harassments, 0 juvenile arrest; 1 juvenile complaints; 0 lost property; 1 medical call; 1 motor vehicle accidents; 0 noise complaints; 0 protective custodies; 0 subpoena served,0 summons served; 1 suspicious circumstances; 0 theft; 0 traffic complaints; 0 unsecured premise, 9 verbal warnings and 0 welfare checks were given
