On 10/2/2017, Prince of Wales based State Troopers arrested Curtis Demmert (31 YOA from Klawock) in Klawock on an outstanding felony probation warrant. Demmert was remanded to the Craig Jail and held on $5000 bail pending arraignment.

On 10/2/2017, Prince of Wales based State Troopers received a report from the owner of Hollis Adventure Rentals in regards to a rental vehicle which was not returned as agreed upon. The vehicle was located a short time later unoccupied in Klawock during a separate investigation. The vehicle was returned to the rental company and a suspect has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.

On 9-30-2017 Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Christopher Cheney, 36 of Craig, for operating a subsistence Dungeness crab pot in Alaska waters without a bio-degradable escape mechanism. Bail for this offense is set at $110 in the First Judicial District Court in Craig.

On 9/27/17, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Prince of Wales Post issued a citation to Daniel Kane (56 y/o) of Thorne Bay for not having a biodegradable escape mechanism on a personal use shrimp pot. The citation resulted from the crew of the PV Enforcer inspecting shrimp and crab gear on 8/24/17 in the marine waters near Thorne Bay. Bail is set at $110 with an optional appearance in the Prince of Wales District Court.

On October 6, 2017 at about 8:00PM, Prince of Wales based troopers responded to Hollis for a report of gunshots and hollering. Troopers contacted 30 year old Hollis resident Michael Bozeman. Bozeman was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence. Bozeman was transported to Craig Police Department where he was remanded.
