Pay Rate: $13.67/hr.-$14.87/hr. DOE (Grade 1)

Position Summary
The Lifeguard II ensures the safety of all pool patrons enforces all City of Craig Aquatic Center rules and performs rescue procedures in the event of an emergency. He or she performs maintenance duties and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Lifeguard II assumes the role of lead guard in the absence of the Pool Manager, Head Lifeguard or Lifeguard III.
Qualifications
18 years of age or older
Must maintain a level of physical fitness necessary to perform job functions.
Must attend all staff meetings and in-service training sessions.
Lifeguard II will take over emergency/first aid or blood/bodily fluid cleanup when on duty with a Lifeguard I who is under the age of 18.
All Lifeguards are expected to wear the uniform provided to him/her and arrive at the workplace on days expected in a timely manner.
The person holding this position must poses leadership qualities and quick decision making skills.
Certifications
Must possess the following valid certifications; all certifications must remain current for the duration of employment. City of Craig Aquatic Center will Certify qualified individual.
American Red Cross CPR/ AED
American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid
American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI)preferred ( Not required)
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred ( Not Required)
