Location: Ketchikan

Type: DWLR; Avoid IID

On 10/19/2020, at approximately 1731 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Troy Harris (age 20 of Ketchikan) for driving with a revoked license.  Harris was arrested for driving with a revoked license and driving without an ignition interlock device.  Harris was remanded at the Ketchikan Correctional Center.

Type: MCA; Furnishing Alcohol to Person under 21

On 10/17/2020, at approximately 2304 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted a vehicle in the parking lot of the Clover Pass Church.  Investigation revealed that a seventeen-year-old female passenger was heavily intoxicated by alcohol.  The female was issued a citation for Minor Consuming Alcohol and released to a parent.  Investigation revealed that the alcohol was furnished by Sean Tavares (age 21 of Ketchikan).  On 10/18/2020, Alaska State Troopers located Tavares and issued him a criminal summons to appear in court for furnishing alcohol to a person under the age of twenty-one.

Type: Trap nuisance animal without permit

On 10/19/2020 the Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Matthew Kingery (33) of Ketchikan for attempting to trap beavers without a permit issued by the Department of Fish and Game.  This is a strict-liability violation offense that requires a mandatory appearance in the First Judicial District Court in Ketchikan.
