Juneau 2nd Wettest May and Ketchikan 34th Driest

 US National Weather Service:

It was a wet and rainy May-at least for some parts of SE Alaska (not so much for others). Preliminary records show that Juneau received its second wettest May on record. Juneau also saw its second wettest January-May period on record-with a total of 29.89" of water.
Yesterday (May 31) in particular saw Juneau set a daily rainfall record of 1.48", beating the old daily record of 1.10 inches set back in 2013.
