Location: Ketchikan

Type: Assault 4 DV, Criminal Mischief 4th Degree

Dispatch Text:

On 09/22/2021 at about 1939 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 2900 Block of Forss Avenue.  Investigation revealed that Sonny Cannon, age 43 of Ketchikan had assaulted a family member and also damaged property of a family member.  Cannon was arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree DV, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree DV and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with No bail.

On 9/21/2021, Prince of Wales State Troopers arrested 56-year-old Hydaburg resident Clarence Gaube for violating a domestic violence protection order (DVPO). Investigation revealed Gaube was residing at a residence he was prohibited from being near. Gaube was remanded to the Craig Jail pending arraignment.

On 9/21/2021, Prince of Wales State Troopers and the Kasaan VPSO responded to Thorne Bay for a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of 41-year-old Thorne Bay resident Tabatha Campbell after it was revealed Campbell broke multiple items belonging to a family member. Campbell was remanded to the Craig Jail for Criminal Mischief (domestic violence), pending arraignment.

Type: Fatal Vehicle Collision

On September 21, 2021, at approximately 1130 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a single-vehicle motor vehicle collision near 5-mile Boundary Road. A preliminary investigation revealed 23-year-old Klawock resident Keegan Bovee, the driver and sole occupant of a GMC pickup truck, was driving south on Boundary Road when for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway rolled multiple times causing Bovee to be ejected. Bovee was declared deceased at the scene. Next of kin has been notified. Investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.

On 09/23/2021 at approximately 1908 hours, the Kasaan VPSO responded to a residence in Kasaan for an unresponsive adult male.  Despite lifesaving measures, the male who was identified as 71-year-old Kasaan resident Howard Moles, was declared deceased.  Moles's next of kin have been notified.

Type: Death Investigation

Dispatch Text:

On 09/24/2021 at approximately 1942 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a deceased male in Whale Pass.  The man, identified as 94-year-old Extry Sarff, of Whale Pass was declared deceased. Next-of-kin was on scene and immediately notified.
