Craig Police Report Week of May 1, 2016

The following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by the
Craig Police Department:


5/01/2016
1:25 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted at 4 mile C/K Hwy, verbal warning for a broken headlight
4:26 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted at 1.7 mile Pt St Nick, verbal warning given for speeding
9:40 a.m. Investigated a report of a Motor Vehicle Accident near the dockside, no injuries reported
1:55 p.m. Contacted two individuals who had reported a theft on each other, neither wanted to make a report

5/02/2016
7:48 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted on C/K Hwy at Pt St Nick, verbal warning given for speeding

5/03/2016
1:23 a.m. Investigated a vehicle with an open door on the 600 block of Water St. The vehicle was secured
10:00 a.m. Investigated a report of an injured black bear on Pt. St. Nick at the 700 block Shaan Seet
12:35 p.m. The medics were dispatched for a medical call on the 400 block of Beach Rd.
2:06 p.m. The medics were dispatched for a medi-vac from Peace Health
3:17 p.m. The medics were dispatched for a medical call at Ralph James Park
5:59 p.m. A requested welfare check was done at a residence on Pt. Bagial. The individuals were okay
11:09 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted on C/K Hwy near Shaub Ellison, verbal warning for speeding

5/04/2016
10:27 a.m. Responded to a report of a vehicle going through a stop sign on Fifth St.
8:02 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted on C/K Hwy at Peace Health, verbal warning given for speeding

5/5/2016
4:00 p.m. Medics were dispatched for a call at Public Health
5:29 p.m. Responded to a report of a vehicle speeding on Pt. St. Nick,
7:11 p.m. Responded to a call of a lost dog on C/K Hwy at Tyler Rental, the dog was returned to the owner
11:14 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the 300 block Shaan Seet, verbal warning for an out brake light

5/6/2016
8:00 a.m. Responded to a report of a vehicle that is possibly camping in the Post Office parking lot
9:28 a.m. Received a report of a theft from a boat at the boat yard
11:09 a.m. Investigated a report of a fire alarm going off at a local business, all okay, a child had pulled the fire alarm
1:37 p.m. Investigated a report of two people fighting in a vehicle near JT Brown Rd and C/K Hwy, this was verbal only
4:23 p.m. A requested welfare check was done at the Senior Housing and medics were dispatched, all was okay 11:50 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted on the 1400 block of S. Hamilton, a citation was issued for expired license. A
Verbal warning was given for expired tags and a loud exhaust

5/7/2016
12:03 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted at 4 mile C/K Hwy, verbal warning given for manner of driving
12:25 a.m. Assisted a citizen near the High School who was trying to get back to Thorne Bay
2:04 a.m. While on a security check at the High School, graffiti was found on windows, doors and signs.
7:08 a.m. Investigated a report of a man who was bleeding at the Harbormaster
9:05 p.m. Responded to a report of an intoxicated female at a residence on Achten Ct., the female was located and
driven home
9:47 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted on Pt. St. Nick and 700 block Shaan Seet, verbal warning for speeding
10:05 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted at the High School, verbal warning for speeding
10:27 p.m. Responded to a report of an intoxicated, unwanted female at a residence on T&H St. Verbal warning was
given for trespassing
11:21 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted on Pt. St. Nick at the 600 block Shaan Seet, verbal warning for an out brakelight

During the week May 1, 2016 to May 7, 2016

1 disturbance; 1 domestic dispute; 1 Domestic Violence Order Served; 0 fire call; 0 found property; 0 harassments; 0 juvenile arrest; 0 juvenile complaints; 0 lost property; 5 medical call; 1 motor vehicle accidents; 0 noise complaints; 0 protective custody; 0 subpoena served; 0 summons served; 3 suspicious circumstances; 2 theft; 1 traffic complaints; 0 unsecured premise,
12 verbal warnings and 2 welfare checks were given
