On 10/24/2016 at approximately 1540 hours, 24 year old Ronnie Don Kasinger of Klawock was arrested on a felony warrant at his residence. The warrant resulted from a Grand Jury Indictment issued against Kasinger for Assualt II, DUI, Reckless Driving and DWLR. Kasinger was remanded to the Craig Jail and held on $2500 bail.

On 10/22/16, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Prince of Wales Post charged a 17 year old minor of Ketchikan for reckless driving, taking wolves during closed season , illegal methods of taking big game. The charges stem from an incident which occurred on 9/4/16. The minor has a mandatory appearance in the Prince of Wales District Court

On 10-27-16 at approximately 1950 hours, Hydaburg VPSO received a REDDI Report that Marvin Charles, 51 year old male of Hydaburg, was speeding in Hydaburg. Charles was currently on conditions of release related to a previous Felony DUI. Charles was contacted by Hydaburg VPSO and was ultimately arrested for DUI. Charles resisted arrest with force causing minor injuries to the Hydaburg VPSO. Charles was transported to the Craig Jail where he refused to submit to a chemical test of his breath. Charles was remanded into the Craig Jail on charges of Felony DUI, Felony DUI Refusal, Resisting Arrest, Assault 4th Degree, DWLR, and VCOR.

On 10-27-16 at approximately 2335 hours, Alaska State Trooper in Prince of Wales responded to a disturbance at a residence in Hydaburg. Investigation revealed Curtis Looper, 26 year old male from Craig, had violated his probation by recklessly driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcoholic beverages while his driver’s license was revoked. Looper was remanded to the Craig Jail on charges of DUI, Reckless Driving, DWLR, and PTRP. Bail was set at $1500.
