Ketchikan Police Report Month of July and August(ish)


Somehow I forgot to post the Ketchikan police report for an entire month so here is the Mega Police Lottery Winner Report up to this point: 



On 07/03/19 at approximately 0331 hours, officers responded to the 1300 block Bostwick Road for a report of a domestic assault. Officers contacted Jennie Maxey, age 28. Ms. Maxey was arrested for Assault in the Fourth Degree - Domestic Violence. She was transported to the state jail and held on no bail.

On 07/03/19 at approximately 2017 hours, officers responded to an apartment in the 3200 block of Denali Avenue for a report of someone yelling for help. Officers contacted Crystal Lammers, age 40. Ms. Lammers was arrested for Assault in the Fourth Degree – Domestic Violence and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree – Domestic Violence. She was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 07/04/19 at approximately 1400 hours, officers responded to the 2000 block of Tongass Avenue for a report of a domestic assault in progress. Stephanie Volpi, age 31, was arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree – Domestic Violence. She was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 07/05/19 at approximately 0132 hours, officers observed Roy Kummer, age 50, stagger to a vehicle in the 800 block of Water Street and drive away without having the headlights on.Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Mr. Kummer was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. He was transported to the state jail and set to be released on his own recognizance.

On 07/05/19 at approximately 2350 hours, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Woodside Drive for a report of a domestic assault. Jesse Roberts, age 39, was arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree – Domestic Violence. He was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 07/06/19 at approximately 1249 hours, officers responded to Fairy Chasm Road and Schoenbar Road for a vehicle parked in the middle of the road while the driver of the vehicle was huffing. Officers contacted the driver and identified him as Ryan Orr, age 32. Mr. Orr was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Violation of Conditions of Release. He was transported to the state jail and held on $1,500.00 bail.

On 07/06/19 at approximately 1615 hours, officers contacted Meth Parig, age 19, and James P. Brown, age 51, in the 300 block of Bawden Street due to a report of them drinking alcohol. Mr. Parig was issued a citation for underage drinking. Mr. Brown was arrested for Violation of Conditions of Release. He was transported to the state jail and held on $250.00 bail.

On 07/07/19 at approximately 0721 hours, officers Alanna Brekke, age 27, in the 700 block of Amundsen Way. Ms. Brekke was served a summons with a mandatory court date for Theft in the 4th Degree. The charge stems from a June 2019 incident.All charges reported in this media release are only accusations.All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On 07/09/19 at approximately 2140 hours, officers responded to the 600 block of Dock Street for a report of a domestic dispute. Nicholas Bader, age 58, was contacted and found to be in possession of an open container. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct-Open Container and transported to the state jail where he was set to be released on his own recognizance.

On 07/11/19 at approximately 0053 hours, officers responded to the 500 block Water Street at the request of Ketchikan Fire Department. Officers contacted Daniel S. Roach, age 58, who based on the investigation, was arrested Violating Conditions of Release. He was transported to the state jail and held on $250.00 bail.

On 07/11/19 at approximately 0205 hours, officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 600 block of Stedman Street for an equipment violation. Officers identified Evan W. Porter, age 21, as the driver and found him to be intoxicated. Mr. Porter was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. He was transported to the state jail and set to be released on his own recognizance.

On 07/12/19 at approximately 0110 hours, officers contacted Kenneth Bradley, age 33, in the 2400 block of Tongass Avenue. Mr. Bradley had an outstanding warrant for Petition to Revoke Probation. Mr. Bradley was arrested and transported to the state jail where he was held on $5000.00 bail.

On 07/12/19 at approximately 2118 hours, officers contacted Shelby Arrington, age 27, in the 600 block of Park Avenue. Ms. Arrington had three outstanding warrants for her arrest for Failure to Appear on past criminal cases. She was arrested and transported to the state jail where she was held on $150.00 bail.

On 07/13/19 at approximately 2224 hours, officers responded to the 500 block Thatcher Way for a report of a male causing damage to the complainant’s apartment. Officers contacted Gabriel Hubble, age 39, and he was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, and Assault in the 4th Degree, all of which were domestic violence crimes. Mr. Hubble was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 7/13/19 at approximately 2315 hours, officers contacted Candra DeGuzman, age 33, in the 2700 block of Fourth Avenue due to her having two outstanding arrest warrants. The warrants were for a failure to abide by conditions of release. The original charges were Theft in the 2ndDegree, Misconduct Involving a Weapon 3rd Degree and Violation of Conditions of Release. She also had conditions of release which prohibited her from consuming alcohol. She was intoxicated. She was arrested for the warrants and a new criminal charge of Violation of Conditions of Release. She was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 7/15/19 at approximately 0140 hours, officers responded to the 600 block of Park Avenue due to a report of a male chasing a female. Officers contacted the male and female. Based onthe investigation, Grant Carter, age 29, was arrested for Assault in the 2nd Degree – Domestic Violence, and Kidnapping – Domestic Violence. He was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 07/15/19 at approximately 0852 hours, officers responded to the 300 block of Mission Street for a report of an assault. Zhigang Zeng, age 46, was arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree – Domestic Violence. He was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

 On 7/15/19 at approximately 2050 hours, officers responded to the 600 block of Park Avenue due to a report of Steve Dulin, age 66, violating a restraining order. Officers contacted Mr. Dulinwho was arrested for Violating a Protective Order – Domestic Violence. He was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 7/16/2019 at approximately 0144 hours, officers responded to the 1400 block of Millar Street due to a report of a hit and run. Officers contacted Zachary Stroud, age 26, who was intoxicated and found to be the driver in the case. Mr. Stroud was arrested for Vehicle Theft in the 1st Degree, Driving Under the Influence, and Driving While License Revoked. He wastransported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 07/16/19 at approximately 1003 hours, officers contacted Alexander McFarland-Johnson, age 30, in the 400 block of Main Street. He was arrested for an outstanding warrant, charging him with Theft in the Fourth Degree. He was transported to the state jail and held on $50.00 bail.

On 07/16/19 at approximately 1053 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Bawden Street. George Kittson, age 35, was arrested on a parole warrant. He was transported to the state jail and held without bail.On 07/16/19 at approximately 1812 hours, officers contacted Nicholas A. Bader, age 57, in the 2400 block of Tongass Avenue. He was served two summonses ordering him to appear in court for trespassing and a probation violation.

On 7/15/19 at approximately 1430 hours, officers contacted Clark A. Falkner, age 44, on Married Man’s Trail due to an outstanding parole warrant. During the initial contact, Mr. Falkner disobeyed commands and attempted to discard items from his person which were found to be several small bags of Methamphetamine. Evidence of drug sales was found in Mr. Falkner’s possession. Mr. Falkner was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 3rdDegree and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Has was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 7/18/19 at approximately 0134 hours, officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Third Avenue for a report of a female chasing a male with a sledgehammer and repeatedly striking a door to the residence. Officers contacted Cheyenne Jackson, age 22, on Third Avenue. Ms. Jackson was arrested for Assault in the 3rd Degree, Assault in the 4th Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree. All charges involve domestic violence. Ms. Jackson was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 07/18/19 at approximately 0214 hours, officers responded to the 3100 block of Tongass Avenue due to a report of a male trespassing. Officers contacted Johnathan Anderson, age 31,as the male trespassing. Mr. Anderson was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree. He was transported to the state jail and set to be released on his own recognizance.On 07/18/19 at approximately 1100 hours, officers contacted Rosie Chesterton, age 29, in the 900 block of Park Avenue. Ms. Chesterton had an outstanding arrest warrant for Violating Conditions of Release. She was arrested, transported to the state jail and held on $1000 bail.

On 07/19/19 at approximately 1348 hours, officers responded to Ohana Court for a report of a female acting disorderly. On arrival, officers contacted Lindsay Yandell, age 31. Ms. Yandell was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Violation of Conditions of Release. She was transported to the state jail and held on $250 bail.

 On 07/21/19 at approximately 2030 hours, officers responded to the area of Jefferson Street and College Avenue for a driving complaint. Officers contacted Anne Elliott, age 34, who after further investigation, was arrested for Driving Underthe Influence. Ms. Elliott was transported to the state jail and set to be released on her own recognizance.

On 07/22/19 at approximately 2115 hours, officers contacted Timothy Crawford, age 68, on a boat docked in Bar Harbor. Mr. Crawford was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree. He was transported to the state jail and set to be released on his own recognizance.

On 07/23/19 at approximately 0152 hours, officers responded to a downtown bar for a disturbance call. Officers contacted David Bleeker, age 38, who was arrested for Drunken Person on Licensed Premises. He was transported to the state jail and set to be released on his own recognizance.

On 07/23/19 at approximately 1128 hours, officers contacted Crystal Jackson, age 40, in the 2400 block of Tongass Avenue due to her having an outstanding warrant. The warrant was for Failure to Appear. Ms. Jackson was arrested and transported to the state jail where she was held on $100.00 bail.

On 07/23/19 at approximately 1718 hours, officers responded to the 2400 block of Tongass Avenue for the report of a male sleeping on the rocks. Officers contacted Jeremiah Krug, age 24, who had conditions of release not to consume or possess alcohol or be where alcohol is sold or consumed as the primary item for sale. Mr. Krug was arrested for Violation of Conditions of Release and was transported to the state jail and held on $250.00 bail.

On 7/24/19 at approximately 0500 hours, officers contacted Cheyanne Ferguson, age 31, in the area of 500 Water Street due to an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear. Ms. Ferguson was arrested and transported to the state jail where she was held on $500.00 bail.

On 7/25/19 at approximately 2219 hours, officers responded to a boat at Thomas Basin due to a report of suspicious activity. Mark Towner, age 50, was the subject of the complaint. The investigation revealed he trespassed on a boat. He was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the 2ndDegree and Violation of Conditions of Release. He was transported to the state jail where he was held on $250.00 bail. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges will be forthcoming.

On 7/25/19 at approximately 2251 hours, officers were dispatched to 361 Main Street to speak with a female regarding a domestic violence protective order violation. Based the investigation, it was determined that Danilo Gonzales, age 57, violated a long-term domestic violence protective order by contacting a protected person. Mr. Gonzales was arrested for Violation of a Restraining Order. He was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 7/27/19 at approximately 0720 hours, officers were dispatched to the area of Kennedy Street and Tongass Avenue for a report of an intoxicated male staggering in and out of traffic. Officers contacted Dean Davis, age 52, in the 1100 block of Kennedy Street. While in contact with Mr. Davis, he entered a private business, having no right to do so, and refused to leave upon request. Mr. Davis was arrested and transported to the state jail for Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree. He was set to be released on his own recognizance.


On 7/28/19 at approximately 0134 hours, officers responded to an apartment on Park Avenue to do a welfare check. Steven Dulin, age 66, was contacted at the apartment. He was subject to a protective order and conditions of release which both banned him from contacting a person who was at the apartment. He was arrested for Violating a Protective Order and Violation of Conditions of Release. He was transported to the state jail where he was booked and held on no bail.

On 07/29/19 at approximately 1017 hours, officers contacted Richard F. Schuerger, age 68, in the 400 block of Main Street. He was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant charging him with Reckless Driving and Negligent Driving. He was transported to the state jail and held on $100.00 bail.

On 7/31/19 Officers of the Ketchikan Police Department along with the assistance of the Alaska State Troopers, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Ketchikan International Airport Police and the Port of Seattle Police Narcotics Interdiction Unit concluded an investigation into the importation of narcotics to Ketchikan from Washington State. Upon his arrival at the Ketchikan Airport from Seattle, Washington PATRICK W. JAYNES, age 49, was contacted and multiple search warrants were executed in furtherance of the investigation. Seized from Mr. Jaynes was approximately 4.1 grams of Cocaine, 3.1 grams of Heroin, and 27.6 grams of Methamphetamine. During the investigation Mr. Jaynes attempted to flee official detention, destroy physical evidence, and resisted arrest. Also seized during the executions of the search warrants were multiple other narcotics, drug sales paraphernalia and a .380 Beretta handgun.Mr. Jaynes was charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, Escape in the Second Degree, Misconduct Weapons in the Third Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Resisting Arrest. Mr. Jaynes was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was booked accordingly and held without bail.

On 07/29/19 at approximately 1004 hours, officers contacted Richard F. Schuerger, age 68, in the 400 block of Main Street. He was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for the charges of Reckless Driving and Negligent Driving from a June 2018 incident. He was transported to the state jail and held on $100.00 bail. On 07/29/19 at approximately 1442 hours, officers responded to the 3000 block of Tongass Avenue for a report of two males stealing gas from a white vehicle. Officers contacted Corey Thompson, age 29, who gave officers a false name and date of birth. Mr. Thompson had two outstanding warrants and when officers attempted to arrest him on the warrants he became combative and attempted to flee. After a short altercation with officers he was arrested for False Information, Resisting Arrest, Assault in the 4th Degree on a Police Officer, Violation ofConditions of Release, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree and his outstanding warrants. He was transported to the state jail and held on a total of $3,000 bail.

On 07/29/19 at approximately 2206 hours, officers responded to the 800 block of Buren due to a report of an assault. Officers contacted Janet Guthrie, age 36. Ms. Guthrie struck her boyfriend, David Steinberg, leaving visible injuries. Ms. Guthrie was arrested for Assault in the4th Degree – Domestic Violence. Ms. Guthrie was transported to the state jail where she was booked and held on no bail.

On 07/29/19 at approximately 1620 hours, officers served a summons to Gabriel I. Falzarano, age 38, in the 1200 block of Schoenbar Road. The summons was for Violation of Conditions of Release for an incident that occurred in July 2019. On 07/30/19 at approximately 1559 hours, officers contacted Michael P. Cox, age 23, in the 900 block of Park Avenue. Mr. Cox was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant. He was charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree and Theft in the 4th Degree. The incident occurred earlier in July 2019. Mr. Cox was transported to the state jail and held on $5,000.00 bail.On 08/01/19 at approximately 1709 hours, officers contacted Damion Mask, age 41, in the 1700 bl ock of Tongass Avenue. Mr. Mask had three outstanding warrants for his arrest. The warrants charged Mr. Mask with one count of Assault in the 4th Degree and two counts of Petition to Revoke Probation. The assault was from a June 2019 incident. Mr. Mask was transported to the state jail and held on $1,000 bail.

On 8/03/19 at approximately 1955 hours, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Dock Street for an intoxicated male with an open container. Officers contacted Darian Bliss, age 29. Mr. Bliss was arrested for Open Container in Public, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct. He was transported to the state jail where he was set to be released on his own recognizance.

On 8/4/19 at approximately 1102 hours, officers responded to the 300 block of Deermount Street for a report of a domestic dispute. Officers contacted Shaw McCray, age 37. Mr. McCraywas arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree - Domestic Violence. He was transported to the state jail and held on no bail.On 08/04/19 at approximately 1408 hours, officers contacted Todd M. Edmondson, age 45, in the 500 block of Thatcher Way for a welfare check. Mr. Edmondson was found to be intoxicated and has court conditions not to consume alcohol. He was arrested for Violation of Conditions of Release. He was transported to the state jail and held on $250.00 bail.

On 08/04/19 at approximately 1543 hours, officers responded to the 600 block of Dock Street for a report of a domestic assault in progress. Officers contacted Cheyanne Ferguson, age 31. She was arrested for Assault the 4th Degree Domestic Violence and Violation of Conditions of Release. She was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 08/05/19 at approximately 0130 hours, officers attempted to contact Erik Bolshakoff, age 41, in the 600 block of Water Street for suspicion of drunk driving. Bolshakoff eluded officers and jumped into the harbor where he hid for several hours. He was eventually taken into custody and booked at the state jail for Disorderly Conduct and set to be released on his own recognizance.

On 08/05/19 at approximately 1638 hours, officers contacted Arthur Giffey, age 36, in the 3400 block of Hawkins Avenue due to him having an outstanding warrant. Mr. Giffey was arrestedand charged with Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree and Violation of Conditions of Release.These charges are from a July 2019 incident. He was transported to the state jail and held on $1,000.00 bail.
