Just before noon on Thursday, April 19th a rig towing machinery, hooked a power line turning from Boundary Road unto the Craig-Klawock Road. Power was out for several hours that shut down many businesses including the Klawock Grocery store and the liquor store (which re-opened after power was restored).

While AP&T was able to restore power after a few hours, work on the line continued until 6 in the afternoon.
