City of Craig Is WORKING HARD for that Port. St. Nick Money! [+ May 3rd Agenda and Minutes]

The City of Craig is having their council meeting Thursday May 3rd. Among the many fun and interesting things on the agenda (check out the FY 18 Budget on page 68!) is the on going attempt to tax PSN and they will have a "Review of Proposed Ordinance regarding Port St. Nicholas Road maintenance"

The review starts on page 58.

Council Agenda for May 3rd at 7PM:

As always this is a YUGE document so click the box in the top right to open and load the document

The biggest issue in all this is that this purposed fee is completely open to be changed and implemented at the whim of the City Council. AND the fee number isn't actually stated in the document. So, for all we know they could propose 100 BILLION DOLLARS!!

Of course i'm not a constitutional lawyer (i'm just yer 'umble editor at large) implementing a tax on PSN seems to (the untrained eye) be 'taxation without representation' since PSN residents can't vote in Craig elections.....

Heh, the song is now stuck in my head!
