Two Arrested For Robbing ATM Machine In Hydaburg


After an outpouring of support and tips from the residents of Hydaburg. 24 year old William Carle of Hydaburg was arrested, December 14th, on a $5000 arrest warrant for his involvement in the theft of a Tongass Federal Credit Union ATM. He was remanded to the Craig jail on charges of Theft II and Criminal Mischief III. On 12/17/2019, 31 year old David Natkong-Carle was arrested on a $10,000 arrest warrant for the charge of Burglary II, Theft II, Criminal Mischief III, and Theft III

Original Story:

On 12/12/2019 at approximately 0730 hours, Prince of Wales State Troopers received a report that the Tongass Federal Credit Union Branch Office in Hydaburg was burglarized and an ATM Machine was stolen. Approximately $5000 damage was caused to the school and bank office, and a yet determined amount of cash was stolen. Suspects have been identified. Anyone with further information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the Alaska State Troopers at 826-2918.
